The 5th generation of the KS/KV Subaru Sambar, released in 1990, complied with the new regulations for light commercial vehicles and had an increased displacement of 660 cc. The retro-styled Dias Classic appeared in 1993 as a complement to the high-end Dias van. It sparked the retro light vehicle boom of the late 1990s, which also attracted other companies. Its warm and cozy exterior is very popular, and it can still be seen as a mobile sales vehicle.
