The Cat MH3040 is a mobile material handler with an operating weight of approximately 37.5 to 39 tons, depending on the equipment. It is powered by a Cat C7.1 diesel engine with an output of approximately 151 kW (202 hp) and complies with EU Stage V and US EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards. The MH3040 features a 9.3-meter-long boom and a 7.1-meter-long stick, enabling a maximum reach of approximately 15 meters. The hydraulic system operates at a maximum pressure of up to 350 bar for the implement hydraulics and approximately 284 bar for the swing operation. The machine offers a travel speed of up to 18 km/h and supports various operating modes such as Power, Smart, and Eco. The cab is equipped with a touchscreen monitor, various joystick settings, air conditioning, and an air-suspended, heated seat. Safety features such as a 2D e-fence system and camera systems are also standard. The MH3040 is equipped with extended service intervals and allows ground-level access to maintenance points. The use of electric fans with auto-reversing functions supports temperature control of the engine and hydraulics.
