The Cedric/Gloria of the 330 series, launched in 1975, adopted the basic structure of its successful predecessor, the 230 series, and featured the then most advanced exhaust emission control system as well as a more elegant exterior. At its market launch, only the two-door hardtop had square headlights; however, the F-Type was expanded to include a four-door hardtop the following year. To meet the emission standards of the time, the car was later further developed into the models 331 and 332, with model 331 undergoing only minor, mainly cosmetic, changes. The name Brougham, long known as the top model of the Cedric/Gloria, was also adopted by the later models.
